About Aldersgate Bookkeeping

Practical bookkeeping help for business owners who need their financial records brought under control, kept current, and prepared for the people who rely on them.

Bookkeeping should make the business clearer, not more confusing

Many business owners know something is wrong with their books but do not know where to begin. Accounts may be unreconciled, reports may not match the bank, transactions may be missing, or years of inconsistent bookkeeping may have made the financial records difficult to trust.

Aldersgate focuses on bringing order to those situations. The goal is not merely to enter transactions, but to correct the underlying problems, organize the records, and leave the business owner with financial information that is understandable and usable.

A cleanup-first approach

Aldersgate is built around bookkeeping cleanup, catch-up, and financial record reconstruction. That means helping established small businesses whose books are behind, unreliable, incomplete, or difficult to use.

Ongoing bookkeeping is available selectively after the books are current and the relationship is a good fit. Tax preparation is limited to selected clients whose records we have completed, maintained, or reviewed.

What matters most

Aldersgate is built for difficult bookkeeping situations

The firm is especially suited to established small businesses that have fallen behind, inherited unreliable books, changed bookkeepers, or reached tax time without records they can confidently use.

Some clients need a few months brought current. Others need multiple years reconstructed from bank statements and available records. The scope varies, but the aim is the same: determine what can be trusted, correct what can be corrected, and organize the result clearly.

When the work falls outside our scope, the records are too incomplete to support a reliable result, or another professional is better suited to the situation, we will say so plainly.
